Artist Nguyen Tan Phat has a childhood associated with the land of Doai. This artist has had a passion for painting since childhood. He graduated from University of Industrial Fine Arts, Faculty of Lacquerware. He delved into portrait painting, conceptual drawing, narrative, and was interested in character introspection. Nguyen Tan Phat does not draw what he sees, but paints what he feels. The portraits in Nguyen Tan Phat's paintings have a deep inner depth, have an obsession with viewers, are full of emotions and contain many philosophies.

From a young age, he was able to follow his grandfather to draw statues and study statues at temples, so his traditional qualities and passion and love for traditional culture were deeply ingrained in him, especially in lacquer. Artist Phat used to work on many different materials such as oil paintings and powder paintings to experience, but in the end, he still only found himself in lacquer. In addition to the surface paint, it also has a glue that has been passed down from generation to generation. For him, it is the most pure Vietnamese of the materials that he has ever composed.

With enthusiasm and passion for national culture, artist - artist Nguyen Tan Phat deserves to be one of the typical artist examples, deserving to be honored in 2020 of contemporary Vietnamese art. From 2010 up to now, he has continuously received prestigious awards from Hanoi and many other localities, such as the first prize in the contest of designing Hanoi handicraft products in 2014, 2019 ... making great contributions to the transmission of the profession, infusing passion for young artists in the homeland as well as developing businesses to bring jobs to local workers. In 2017, at the age of 34, he was honored by the Hanoi People's Committee with the title "Hanoi Artist".

During 20 years of pursuing lacquer materials, artist Nguyen Tan Phat is still as passionate as the first day, still aspires to be creative to enrich the country's handicrafts. Artist Nguyen Tan Phat is a special artist.
